The Great Mayo Showdown: What Our Followers Really Think

Shelves of mayonnaise at a grocery store.

Mayonnaise. Just one word and the internet gets feisty. We knew there were strong opinions out there, so we stirred the pot (or jar) and posted a simple question on Threads:

“We’ve heard strong opinions on mayonnaise. What’s your favorite mayo brand of choice?”

Well, y’all didn’t hold back.

Dollop of mayonnaise on a plate.

After tallying 70 responses, it’s clear: some of you are mayo die-hards, others are brand-loyal, and a brave few are walking Miracle Whip truthers. Here’s how the numbers shook out:

  • 🥇 Duke’s dominated with 42.9% of the votes. Southern pride? Unmatched tang? Possibly both.
  • 🥢 Kewpie snagged 11.4%—an umami-rich underdog with international flair.
  • 🥄 Hellmann’s took a respectable 10%, showing that classic consistency still has fans.
  • 🏡 Homemade mayo earned 7.1%, which makes us think some of you are secretly gourmet chefs.
  • 🧃 Other brands racked up 22.9%, a surprising slice that suggests mayo fandom runs wider than we thought. (Special shoutouts to Blue Plate, Trader Joe’s, and the ones that came in with cryptic “Euro-style only” comments.)
  • 🙅‍♀️ A bold 2.9% said they don’t like mayo. We see you. We still love you.
  • 🤨 Miracle Whip also came in at 2.9%… which is technically not mayo, but hey, let’s not start that fight today.

What started as a curiosity turned into a delicious peek into people’s condiment preferences—and we’re here for it.

We love it when our followers join the conversation. If you chimed in, thank you for making us laugh, nod in agreement, or Google obscure Scandinavian spreads. If you didn’t, no worries—you can catch the next one. We’re constantly tossing out fun polls and questions across our social media channels. Give us a follow, and let your voice be part of the mix next time. Whether it’s hot sauce loyalty, breakfast sandwich debates, or opinions on crunchy vs. smooth peanut butter—we want to hear it all.

So, what’s the takeaway? Duke’s is king of the Mayo Hill in our little corner of the internet. But with so many flavorful contenders, there may be room in the fridge for more than one jar.

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we suddenly have a craving for a BLT.
